Thanks everyone for your input!! I agree local would be better, but I haven't been able to find anyone nearby. I will keep looking, I have a little time :)

Whoops, missed the classroom part. If you can't find local you can always but fertile eggs from a health food store. Here they are at trader joes or whole foods type of shops. The fertility will be low but they are 3.00 per doz approx. and the white are easy to candle. How big is your incubator?

Thanks! I will check that out as well if all else fails. My incubator can hold 12 eggs.

Our feed store sells farm fresh eggs which are probably fertile, provided by those why buy feed from them (including me when I have surplus eggs), and seldom refrigerated. Else they should know some locals that have chickens

10 paint silkie hatching eggs, will include bonus eggs from my black/blue pen. the paint pen is 5 paint hens covered by a black roo. you will hatch paint in black or blue spotted, solid black, solid blue and occasionally white. I do show and these birds have also been shown placing BB (for the blacks, whites and blues),BV and one of my paints went best nonstandard bird in show by Judge Tom Roebuck who commented that it was probably the best silkie in the entire show. I am NPIP. all are bearded with correct toes. bidding starts at $30 and includes priority mail shipping. auction ends at 4:30 EST Saturday, and they will ship on monday. I pack very well but I can't guarantee what happens once the eggs leave my hands. I do NOT mark the box as hatching eggs or fragile, I find I get better shipping results when the PO doesn't know whats in the box.
