Orange Laced Barred Polish Project
This is a Project. We DO NOT guarantee you will hatch birds with the pattern shown in the photos. Please see our website for history on this project. http://www.juststruttinfarm.com/breeds.html

Basque Euskal Oiloa
We have owned Basque since 2011, The birds you see in the photo are the 3rd generation raised on our farm. Our birds come from James Meeks of Skyline Poultry. We had our first ever 100% hatch rate from shipped eggs which to me is a great indication of a lines health and vigor.

Since we acquired the birds, we have been selectively breeding for correctness. We hatched over 100 Basque in 2013 and chose the 10 we are using as breeders this year. All of our breeders have yellow legs and good coloring. Our breeding goals include breeding birds with broader chests and wider backs.

Basque are an ideal breed for both breeders and backyard enthusiasts. For starter, Basque eggs seem to ship and hatch better than many breeds. The egg shell quality is excellent. Basque have friendly calm temperaments and the hens lay large brown eggs and are non-broody. Basque are not auto-sexing, but by 3-4 weeks you can begin to discern the boys from the girls based on body color.

Bresse
We acquired 12 eggs and hatched 10 birds in May 2013. The breeder (Chiquita) we purchased our eggs from got her breeding stock from Green Fire Farms. Of the 10 eggs that hatched, we ended up with 7 girls and 3 boys. We chose the biggest and most robust 4 pullets and 2 cockerels as our breeders.

I had heard Bresse were indifferent with people, but that has not been my experience. I find them friendly and curious. I have limited experience with the Bresse, but so far I have been very happy with them.

Cream Legbars
Egg color varies from Sky Blue to blue/green. Most of the eggs you will be recieing will be hen eggs, but we have a couple pullets in the mix as well.

We posted 1 photo of each breed. You can see more photos of each breed on our website

Thank you.

Juststruttin: do they have to be shipped 2/18 (I know this is a 24hr Auction thread)? If I can pick a later shipping date I will *SOLD* one and send payment now!
If not, then I am just SOL (just arranged all the eggs I need to fill my incubator for this next hatch).

Love this type of auction though, and hope (if I don't get to this one) I would love to see another in the future!

Thank you.

I got my eggs during the really bad weather and I am surprised at how many are growing. All of the Bresse and Legbar. I lost 8 about a 1/3 but the weather was terrible and the post office was not kind to that poor box. I will be ordering more from you as soon as these guys hatch. I hope you do this again.

Sorry, this is the only week I have all the breeds available at the same time which is what made this kinda a fun thing to do. What breeds are you hoping for and when? I can look on the calendar to see what can be done.

Thanks

I am surprised by how indestructible Bresse eggs are. I hatched 10/12 from a battered box, and ended up with 7 girls and 3 boys.

If kiwijean does not want them I will take the for the 18th shipping date.

Just love juststruttin's eggs

If So sold

And I would take the 12 barnevelders, the 4 polish 4 Breese and any other Legbars :D

10 paint silkie hatching eggs, will include bonus eggs from my black/blue pen. the paint pen is 5 paint hens covered by a black roo. you will hatch paint in black or blue spotted, solid black, solid blue and occasionally white. I do show and these birds have also been shown placing BB (for the blacks, whites and blues),BV and one of my paints went best nonstandard bird in show by Judge Tom Roebuck who commented that it was probably the best silkie in the entire show. I am NPIP. all are bearded with correct toes. bidding starts at $30 and includes priority mail shipping. auction ends at 4:30 EST Saturday, and they will ship on monday. I pack very well but I can't guarantee what happens once the eggs leave my hands. I do NOT mark the box as hatching eggs or fragile, I find I get better shipping results when the PO doesn't know whats in the box.

12+ 4 +4 = 20 so there won't be space in the box for Legbars unless you want legbars instead on the 2 Sulmtalers bonus eggs. Please let me know.
