I hatched some fly ties along with a bunch of barred rock and Dominique at the same time. Now I have a couple of barred roos with BEAUTIFUL tails. Would you be able to guess if this is a fly tie roo? or one of my br or dominique? I messaged the folks I got the eggs from, but they haven't responded.




I hatched some Cemani around the same time. They are BEAUTIFUL!! I hatched 3 - 2 girls, 1 boy. But, I have to rehome the roo

That looks like a Dominique/Easter Egger mix.

That one almost looks like barred Ameraucana. Those guys are on my list!

My Dominique had access to an EE Roo, so that is probably what these are. That would make sense. Thanks!!!! Anyone want him? Or, his brother?

Definitely EE, not Fly Tie...

Plus, he's got a cushion comb. The pea comb combined with the rose comb produces cushion combs. It's the only combination possible, given the potential parents. That also means he's a black sexlink.

I call it a party mix. I like the most colorful, outrageous of everything! Mostly pied- silver, blue black, chocolate.

No. Just mixed colors.

what are your mixed colors? do you ship chicks to northern Idaho?

I currently have 2 WCBP Hens and 1 GBL Rooster and 1 WCBlue Rooster. How would you suggest to breed them?

Ohh boy! I'm glad I wasn't able to participate ;p I didn't know most of these answers and I can only imagine what I would come up with in the moment. I can usually only play in the evenings after supper, bath and bedtime stories, or after late work shifts. Seemed like lots of fun!

@bullets Sorry-went back to work and lots of Dr. apts! I have 1 week left on 1 set of bcms, icelandics cream legbars and seramas & 2 weeks left on the AC's another mixed batch, more bcms and seramas-give or take. Mt seramas usually start to pip on day 18!

Sorry, I was away from the computer for a few days and just saw these questions....

I don't ship chicks. Sometimes older birds. Mostly eggs. Our colors are WCblue, GL, Splash, WCR, WCblk, solid blue. Both roos are splash.
I would put all yours in together and see what happens. If the roosters fight, let the hens choose who they want to be with and that will be the best fertility. With Polish, a lot depends on the hen's preference since it's so easy for them to dodge the eyesight of the roos... If they don't care for a roo, they won't exactly squat in front of him.
