The New Flock 2021: Back to Basics

Black and white - you re lucky it wasn't Pepe le Pew

I have a 20# cat, not obese, a huge guy but very laid back.
Yeah, that would have added an entirely new level to the experience!
What breed is your cat or is he a mix? I know they exist that size, but the one here didn't stop to get weighed. I mean, border collie or cat is not something I ever thought I'd be trying to figure out, LOL

He is an inbred result of people who got two kittens, never got them neutered, and then proceeded to breed them together through two generations. So he's a little weird.

RIP Juliette. She was one tough gal, bloating up, then losing weight, hasn't laid in close to a year, thought she would die several times. At 3 a.m. the chickens went nuts, which is not that unusual, but at that time, it is. My husband went out to check, expecting Bash to be gone (another tough bird) and pronounced everyone okay. They kept doing it for another hour. Ugh.

When I went inside at 7:30 a.m. and began cleaning, I had to go into the Dirty Dozen pen to break up a fight between Iris and Bee. Bee is very dominant in there, but she was getting pummeled and giving up. I bent over and disconnected Iris from Bee, glanced over at the feeder and there she was, upside down under the feeder and very stiff. She was acting normal yesterday, pushing others aside for her food, etc. So, that's what happened, but Julie, being mostly a creamy white color with wheaten, she wasn't that noticeble. She would have been five in about three months. So, I just buried poor Julie. And Bash continues without food or water, though we keep attempting to at least make him drink. He refuses. Been that way for days now.
