The new permanent pen setups in progress for spring.. (pic heavy)

Wow...that is going to be nice. Love your boxer! Mine has the same white splash on her chest.

Good luck on your project!

Hooray all the posts are in for the back side, all that is left is to cut them all down to the same height when they are set.

More updates next weekend.

Looks great I love the flat land you have. Two questions:

1. Why did you cut down the trees?

2. What is duck ponics?

Pardon the questions I am rather new here.

You do have a big piece of land to start the farm. I love doing the same thing, but no money. I would refer using the galvanized fence and post instead of wood post.

This is awesome. I love watching projects evolve and grow from the initial concept sketches to the finished product. Thank you very much for sharing! Definitely subscribing.

Trees were on fence line or invasive also I have a long narrow property and need the sunlight to garden.

Duck poop + hydroponics.

Got it. on the trees.

I take it you pump the pond to feed your hydroponics... Um er will pump the pond. Sounds like a great idea for keeping the pond clean. I am in the high desert and always working on ways to get the best use out of water and This would allow me to have ducks too. Just a few. Hmmmm...

It has been rough to make any progress this week - it rained every day

The debris piles would not start burning at all! (not even diesel fuel) The rest of the land has been cleared for the pens - garden and pasture. Rented a tractor with box blade and cleaned it up the best I could. 7 hours on a tractor makes for a bad back!

Here we see all the back side posts are set and the topsoil pile has been moved to where the garden beds will be.

Standing next to the outside post and looking towards the road. Here there will be gardens. The land slopes a little - yes that post is in fact level

Using the front end loader on the rented tractor to save time on the duck pond.

Now I can get a sense of how much land I really have, I am standing to the right of the post in previous picture and the excavator is 30' from the road.

Next weekend is more attempts at burning/chipping whatever to make those debris piles smaller. The fencing should come in from Tractor supply & possibly some front posts will go in!

The one pic looks like it's about 100' away not 30'. I'm glad I'm not buying your fence for you I would got about 300' feet looking at the pic. lol

I'll need to subscribe to your thread because this is going to be interesting to watch. Thanks for putting it on here. Good luck and have fun.
