Hi new starter here please can anybody help me and my sister have had our babies 2 weeks tomorrow they are from same father and either same mother or different all muscovies they are between nearly 10&11 weeks one is absolutely fine other than been so small we’ve been reading about dwarfism parents are muscovies as also been reading about mule ducks involving Pekin ducks and also with muscovies originating from geese rather than wild mallard sister has sent pic I will try and post it we’ve called her tich but we just thought so small got to be female ?? But not sure why so small please help much appreciated xx

What all are you feeding your ducklings including treats? Is this duckling walking around acting normal?

Hi thanks for replying it is one of my sisters always been smallest it was fed chick crumb containing niacin and corn mix as older ducks get fed on this veggies meal worms sister took her home nearly 2weeks ago she’s had the same as before we got them off my friend so I’ve seen them from hatched they mix with hens so probably layer pellets now and more fruit and veg and she is fatally normal other than size xx

If she’s acting normal, eating and doing all things Duckie. Maybe just a dwarf there is another thread about that on here. Hopefully she’ll catch up or just be small. I’d make sure she is getting a good balanced diet and no one is pushing her away from the feed.

They both look like boys. Same size, long body and big, round heads. The one to the left is definitely male.
