I got the front done but the back will have to wait until tomorrow. I tweaked my back a couple days ago so I'm taking it easy.

Are the kids looking forward to school starting soon?

Yes! Last week was their first week back. It was hard for my youngest but he's getting better.

The world could use more coaches and teachers like her, she's a great role model.

I agree. I hear stories and always grateful we haven't had one of those experiences.

Mad, Boo cat is enjoying having another cat to wrestle with. I had no idea that I was a cat person! (Or that a chicken lady lived inside me.. maybe even that proverbial, crazy chicken lady.)

Having 2 (or in my case 3) cats together is fun...they keep each other entertained, and me too!

Whereas here the 3 cats mostly annoy each other.

This is seriously my favourite chick. It looks like it's wearing a vintage fur stole. And it sure knows how to pose.


We had a couple more hatch today, another similar to this one and another black one. I'm hoping for a few more black ones in the eggs that are still to hatch.
