Happy birthday Meg!

So, she will have to wait & will hopefully still be available when we're ready to get her!
Give them a deposit and some money for feed ;)

We're at 46* this morning, feels very fall-ish.
We barely made it below 70° and humid. 88° and humid today and tomorrow too.

i will check in again next week. Stay safe and healthy all!
You too! Hopefully the asthma gets controlled.

I've got 3 bananas awaiting bread.
OK, my brain read that and came up with an image of bananas eating bread. I must need a nap.

Happy Saturday! It's been madness over here lately. Seems to be endless things going on.

Currently getting ready to start my final year of nursing school and raising a busy 7 month old!

Sad to say 2 dogs came through our place about a week ago and killed 16 of my 18 chickens. It was brutal. I've been devastated to say the least. Hoping to "start over" next spring :hmm

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

That is so sad!

Ohhh that's horrible about your chickens, so sorry you have to go through that right now :hugs

Sounds like you have a lot on your shoulders.
Nothing beats being a mom and raising kids but boy is she a handful :D
 that's one of the plus sides to it. She's got to keep you on your toes, right?
It was very sad. I couldn't imagine what those poor chickens went through.
💔

I want to do a little more studying and then I'm heading out to take some pictures of my flock. I'm also hoping to get a picture of the Peacock out roaming around...as you know, so far it's just been when he's up in his tree!

Glad you got your lawn mowed! Our lawn needs to be mowed also, but today's my birthday, so...I'm not going to do it...
Hope you'll share the photos!
I am that way too!

I do wonder what will happen when I go back to work on campus.

The current plan is to wear masks inside all the time. I do not know how long we will have that restriction though
I actually ended up sicker, again last night!
I cannot believe it, but I do think it may be covid again. I tossed my coffee the last two days because it didn't taste right.
I have the cough, the headache, as well as, thrush mouth and a sore throat. I've read that this is a symptom. I wish I had some Gentian Violet; but who keeps that around anymore? It is an ingredient in Blue Coat, and I have some that I used on a hen with gleet...but her butt to my mouth..uhh uhh!
🤢🤣 I've been wearing my 😷 mask, but I've noticed, since the vaccine came out, that about half the population is not.
I hope things go OK, when you are back on campus!
Good morning, Everyone. It's the calm before the storm. Wishing Henri to take an Eastward path.
I hope all goes well for you & your's!
Good morning everyone :frow
Happy weekend! We had an eventful week culminating with a 12 year old in the hospital for asthma. I guess he’s staying the day for breathing treatments and observation. Keeping our fingers crossed there’s ICU in his future. He has been vaccinated for covid and it’s not that, but just as worrisome.
I had my checkup for my eyes yesterday and got the all clear for cataract surgery. That’s a relief because I’m seeing progression in the eye I can see with. There’s talk on the news of stopping surgeries so I’m hoping covid numbers stay low enough that I can get them done.
i will check in again next week. Stay safe and healthy all!
Good luck to you! I hope you get your surgery, and that your 12 yo breaths easy!

I'm so sorry! I wish you the best with school. Happy Saturday to you!

I hope you all have a great weekend!
I'm going to lay here and be sick.. and feel guilty...there are at least a dozen hens staring at me through the French doors. 🙄

Yep, it was a short but sweet mask free time. Delta is doing a number pretty much everywhere. VT went from < 10 per day to 150. More people in ICU and more dying.

Vaccinated but getting nervous since the unvaccinated stopped wearing masks (if they were at all) back in June when the governor lifted all restrictions. Problem is, 80% vaccinated means 20% unvaccinated (and that doesn't count those too young to get vaccinated) and plenty of "no social distancing", they are getting and spreading Delta.

Our hospitals, especially the children's wards, are full. Parents are asked to use telemed when posible.
They are not doing elective surgeries in the cities here.
