Spinosad is the go to in California for Mites.
Elektor on the birds and something more low cost as a spray in the coops. If not in the sun, spinosad persists for a month in those cracks where the mites hide out.

Garden bug spinosad is sold in the garden center of stores now,

Spray Spinosad in my garden and around the coop, in every crevice? 1 coop is in shade.
