Yep, she’s definitely college-bound. She’s not sure what she wants to do yet, but has said several times that she’d like to learn to work with kids like Kendra. So physical therapy? Speech therapy? Special education?By Katie doing all that when she's just a freshman, who knows how high she can go? Is college in her plans?
DH is on his way here for a couple of days. And then he's hitting the road for FL. He's anxious to get started on his new job (and probably anxious to leave the snow behind). I'll tell him you said hello!
Answer me this - are you going to drive by yourself from Wyoming pulling a trailer, like you did when you moved out here?
Word from Katie when she called me is exciting. She qualified for semi-finals!! There were 44 kids in her category today. She is currently sitting proudly with 11 other competitors (and one alternate). This is the list of those who will compete tomorrow for a spot in the finals. Today she took a 1st place, 2 second place, and 1 fourth place, but I’m not sure where that puts her overall points tally. I forgot to ask her. Tomorrow she gives her speech in semi-finals, and she could well qualify for finals. As it is, her coach told Jenny tonight that it’s the first time in Rocky Mountain High School history….even back when Rocky had their own team…that a freshman has ever qualified for semi-finals at State!! Keep those lucky thoughts coming, folks! They’re working!! Isabelle also qualified for semi- finals but Angelina didn’t. They’re both seniors and Isabelle has been in Speech since her Sophomore year.
