DH got into town last night. He'll be here today and leave tomorrow to set off for his trip to FL. I'm going to miss that guy for a few months, the cats will probably be sick of me talking to them all day.

Good morning folks

Busy yesterday! We repainted the kitchen. Neither of us have been too happy with how the first color we used turned out to look so doggone pink on the walls. Didn’t look that way when we tried different samples on the wall. So we bit the bullet, sanded the walls lightly, and started over. We’re much happier with the yellow we have now. Then we prepped the master bathroom for painting and will tackle that today. That’s the last room to paint, thank goodness! I’m over it!! We decided not to paint the utility room. Don’t feel like pulling out the washer and dryer to paint behind it but wouldn’t want to just leave that section unpainted either.

Haven’t heard how Evan did last night in Congress but Katie called her mom and she was so excited. She told Jenny, “Mom, I did so GOOD.” Jen said she was so happy she was almost squealing! But she was also concerned that there were so many kids there. Jenny reminded her that it was State competition, so there would naturally be kids there from all over the state. I guess Katie’s category has more competitors this year than in years past. So keep those good wishes for her coming!!
