The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Nope, not just one. May have had a bit too much coffee this morning...there seems to be an over-abundance of them running through my head today.

Maybe cleaning out the fridge per TK's suggestion wouldn't be the worst distraction, lol.

Maybe that's the safest course of action

Good morning all. Sounds like our weather is going to start changing the end of the week. We have been blessed with a fabulous fall and the first snow of the year we're in a blizzard watch

Ugh! Need an opinion on declawing cats...I looked it up and it freaked me out. Not sure I can go through with it when it comes time.

Good morning DMC!

Our weather is predicted to change tonight with the temps dropping, the wind picking up and 3-8" of snow. We'll see how close the reality comes to the prediction.

As for declawing, I never have had it done to the cats I've had. If there is any chance at all that Spuds may be spending time outside, those claws are her protection and without them, she'd be pretty defenseless (other than being able to run). It's a pain training cats to not scratch on furniture but they can be taught to use only a cat scratching post. Personal choice of course, but those are my reasons for not declawing.

We are in the 7-12 " range. I would like her to be an outdoor cat but that's not an option as our dog would kill her. I don't love animals in the house cuz it messes with me wanting to be a clean freak

My husband wants her for a shop cat to help with mice control but again the dog is the issue.

Morning TK, guess I'll have to go get my buttons on to honor the day

DMC, if she's going to be outside I'd leave the claws on her. My 2 cents worth anyway.
