Well, I did it! My shopping trip was a success, even if it was exhausting. I used the cart like a walker and it worked well. It's the longest I've walked/been standing since the fall.

Are they related to honey suckle vines?
We have an orange cross vine that is a member of the honey suckle family.

It is called orange trumpet vine. I have a yellow one also. It climbed a white Oak about 20 ft. up. They are an old fasion favorite, I think they can be invasive.

I definitely need to add one of these to my landscaping project….bet it would climb up the Darth Vader tree like crazy! Might as well….since that section of bark fell off the tree, Darth is gone anyway, and my hummers would sure love it. Problem is, the only side I’d be able to plant it on is in its own shade part of the day. Would it do okay or should I forget it because they‘d need full sun? See how shady?

Little Diane’s friend Zack got off work early Friday, got in his car, and drove 14 hours to come and get her and Rueben. Saturday morning they took off for Sioux Falls. He traveled like a trooper, just as I knew he would. They made a detour to see Devil’s Tower and he made lots of new friends. They are home, safe and sound.

Wow! I don't know! the flowers look the same but trumpet has compound leaves that are saw toothed. Just looking and not knowing I bet your vine would not grow here in Ohio. Or would it?

I'm not certain. I think honey suckle varieties grows in all the southern states, but I don't know if it grows further north.

Good morning, Blooie. I tried to capture some hummingbird photos yesterday. There was the cutest little black and red one. He was just too fast for me.

That’s good news Bob! Hubs uses a cane but not at the grocery store, the cart works!
