Catching up with you all...good morning to everyone again!

I bought a new mattress and it was delivered on the 1st. Too mushy! Made my back hurt.
I traded it in for an extra firm, because they didn't have a firm in that line. I like the new mattress better, but it is way too firm, so my extremities go to sleep before I do. I have a feather topper, but it's still too hard. I put a foam topper on it, and then the featherbed (to keep the hot foam away from me) and that was a huge improvement, but now I need a step ladder. (Hubby is asleep in the bunk room, with the TV going full blast)
They make these new mattresses so tall! I even bought a 4" boxsprings and my bed is still too tall.

It's crazy how tall the new mattresses are, and it can be tough to find fitted sheets that fit them too.

We're thinking about getting a ladder just so that we can get into bed. Woe be the results if we ever fall out of bed.

Nope, you sure don't want to fall out of bed!

Back in my very poor young adult stage, I just had a mattress on the floor in my apartment. It might be time to go back to that...I think a box spring & mattress would still be tall enough to make getting out of bed easy. :p

Good morning folks :frow

Pretty much all sheets that fit are microfiber. I prefer cotton!

I hope you don't need bed rails!

I have a sleigh bed that I love. It is an odd size so I may have to make a custom insert and ditch the boxspring all together. That would shave 4" to 5" off the height.

It’s a toss up, I’m kinda glad I’m not OLD enough
Yes, there is definitely a downside to getting old enough to retire. Old parts don't work as well as young parts and more parts start to fail.

Sleep Number

That is FOR SURE!!!! The "shallowest" flannel sheets I can find for the 10" California King mattress are "regular pocket depth" - 15"

Hi Bruce :frow

Sleep Number was a problem for us, not so much the mattress but their customer service. We won't be doing any more business with them, one really bad occurrence was enough. But everyone's experience is different, must have been a good one for you.
