The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

'Jump Here' that's exactly where Mike the Cat landed on our very first Christmas tree all those years ago.

Guess I'd rather have the cats messing with the tree than a deer

Yeah, and when the wind comes up later in the day we could see wind chills of - 30 degrees. Yuck!!! Kenny and Jenny's pipes froze last night but Ken and Kenny got them thawed before any damage was done. Kenny has heat tapes and insulation but it froze right where it comes up out of the ground. So I guess he'll have to leave his water running even during the day, and Ken told him to make sure all taps are running when they leave town.

BUT on a warmer note, guess who turned 11 today!! My sweet Katiebug!! Since she'll be staying with us tonight and for the rest of of the week, looks like baggie tacos and birthday cake for dinner!!!

Blooie, those are some wicked temps. Sorry about the frozen pipes. So your family got on the road this morning?

No, they are leaving in the morning. Kenny can't pick up the car in Billings until later today, where wind chills are expected to hit -42 today. <shudder> They are going to leave tomorrow so the plows have had more time to go through. Once they get to around Chugwater they shouldn't have any real problems. Got a message from a friend who lives in Denver today and it's supposed to be clear and in the 40s all week there, so we just gotta get them through the first 5 or 6 hours of the trip and then they should be okay.

Edited...I just copied your birthday cake and sent it to Katie. Haven't heard back but bet she gets a big kick out of it!

Blooie, is Chugwater around Laramie? Still trying to picture where WY towns (and counties) are. My parents lived in Denver 40+ years...as much as I kind of dislike the place, they are very good about snow removal.

Sour, you are so good at finding things. If I ever have to take part in a scavenger hunt, I want you on my side
