You made me look up Princess Barbie...holy smokes, there are Barbie's for every occupation and occasion. Back in my day, there was only one (I still have mine, blonde pony tail and b&w swimsuit).

That Barbie is probably worth a pretty penny. Good afternoon all.

Someone has their grade names a bit messed up! In the old names it went Fancy, A, B, C. Fancy was the lightest in color and flavor, C was the dark strong stuff.

My doll would probably be worth more if my little chihuahua hadn't bit off a couple of Barbie's fingers. Although, my doll's pony tail is perfect from all the gallons of hair spray I doused it with back in the day.

I am so jealous! I dont have mine anymore. I do have an older barbie with wigs, a midge, the 1st Allan, and a Ricky.

No, that was skipper. Midge was the best friend.
I'm almost embarrassed that I know this stuff.
I had a huge collection thanks to my mother. I also had a lot of gi joes. When I was 13, I gave almost all to a younger cousin. ( thats where my original pony tail barbie went) Her parents put it all in a yard sale. My mother and I were both furious. Had I have known they would do that, I would have given them to someone else, or just kept them.
My daughter and granddaughter both had/have a pretty big collection too.

I didn't have a lot of dolls but one of the ones I wish I still had came from Viet Nam. A family friend's son went over for a tour of duty and sent back two beautiful dolls to my sister and me. They were about 18" tall, with real hair and were dressed in beautiful traditional Viet Nam clothing. My mom gave mine away to a bratty little niece without asking me if I wanted to keep it.
