That is a lovely house, lots of character and craftsmanship. Now everything is straight line, hollow core doors and cheap cookie cutter painted trim.

Elevators can be retrofitted into houses for when people get less mobile ;)

BTW, 2 story houses are cheaper to build than ranches of the same square footage. Less basement walls, less roof. Of course if one wants to put solar panels on the roof, more roof can be better ;)

Houses, especially small ones, can be moved ;)

Or keep the large porch and sweep less. Some people are a bit more fastidious than others.

Which she was when she joined, and wasn't when they moved to Wyoming, then was again when they moved back to north Florida. Short stay though, now she will be a Kentucky chick but still our @N F C Debby

As the doctor says "if it hurts don't do it"!

 I know you are young but please do some research on what diabetes can do to you over time. Start doing things right, RIGHT NOW. You really don't want what is coming if you don't.

Yeah I really need to start taking it more seriously. I was officially diagnosed and put on Metformin last June but I was kinda “diagnosed” the December before, they just didn’t do anything for it yet. Also I was pre diabetic for years before  I just suck at listening. I change for like a few days and then go back.
I'm fine. I find that monk fruit has been a big help. My husband is diabetic and I like sweets, so a few simple, homemade treats, really help us both.
If you like pecans, here is an easy one:
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper & Toast 1 1/2 to 2 cups of pecans in an oven on low heat. (I use a convection setting at 325 for about 10 minutes.)
2. In a medium saucepan, HEAT a half stick of butter until light brown
3. Add 1 cup of golden monkfruit and 1tsp of vanilla extract
4. Add 1/3 cup of heavy cream and remove from heat.
5. Add pecans and stir.
6. Sit in refrigerator for about 30 minutes. Then drop tablespoon fulls onto your parchment lined pan. Return to refrigerator for approximately 1 hour until set.
Thanks for this!!!
