Land is going between $9,000-$10,000 an acre. If you get 160 acres that’s minimum of 1.4 million. We paid $162,000 for that plus a house, barn, etc in 1992.

Foreign corporations have bought up so much farmland, that it's a wonder that anything can be found for sale.

The garden is looking pretty good. I picked some more of those nasty worms out of the broccoli and brussel sprouts. Something totally stripped a pepper plant…good thing my son bought so many. My Roma tomatoes are starting to produce. I planted some jumbo marigolds in the garden this year. My mom always did that so she could enjoy flowers while she weeded.
