I also have tinnitus. I've had it since I was 7. It got worse when I was 10, and the chemo seems to have made it louder. When I was young it drove me crazy, but it doesn't really bother me anymore. Maybe because I've had it so long, I have gotten to where I can tune it out. I usually don't notice it unless I go somewhere quiet, when I go to bed, or when I read the word tinnitus.I would like to see the poem. I also suffer with tinnitus. I tell the drs it's insane when they ask me if I have it. I think I may have shared this before but they say I'm lucky I can..handle it. I guess there's a lot that don't.They're seeing more if it from those that had a bad case of Covid. I never got Covid..knocking on wood. Anyway, some people suffer quite a bit with not being able to cope with it. I do use an app at night for..other..noise. I don't like white noise. I use a soft music with the sound of leaves sofly rustling. Helps a lot.

I’ve had it randomly for a long time; after a particularly violent bout of vertigo a few months ago it has changed tone, volume and frequency. I can usually tune it out, but sometimes at night it’s particularly loud; either can’t get to sleep or can’t get back to sleep if I wake up for some reason. I’ve read that people can habituate to it over time, I’m hoping for that.I also have tinnitus. I've had it since I was 7. It got worse when I was 10, and the chemo seems to have made it louder.
