All is good here. One or our granddaughters has been here the past two days to pick up the stuff we brought home when she graduated from Syracuse. August 1 she heads to Ca. for graduate school. Together times will be far less frequent in the future.

That's the problem with the good kids...they grow up. Maybe it will be a good excuse for you and the Princess to visit California! What's your g-daughter going to study in grad school?

That's the problem with the good kids...they grow up. Maybe it will be a good excuse for you and the Princess to visit California! What's your g-daughter going to study in grad school?

She is a chemistry major in a field that I am not intelligent enough to comprehend. She has been doing laser evaluations of compounds to determine possibilities of use in pharmaceutical applications. She has had a study published in scientific journals. This is the kid who crawled into my lap at 3 years old and started reading the paper to me - not words - entire sentences.

It stops about 10 miles north of me. The irrigation ditches are all full though.
And we did get a few sprinkles yesterday. Just enough to make it smell like rain.
