Good morning.

Yesterday was not a pleasant day, but I managed some 'outside' things. Today looks like it will be worse. It's already 84 F with excessive humidity. Another day in 'sauna land'. The AC kicked on early this morning. I'm hoping to make it through the season before replacing the unit.

NPR had a segment about it yesterday.

It has been around for a long time actually. NPR made it sound like it was a life time allergy to meat-- includes bacon-- but an article I read years ago said that the allergy usually goes away after 5 years.

Of course you would need to keep away from lone star ticks!

5 years is a long time to do without beef tacos and cheese but at least there would be an "end date" in sight!

I just turned on the coop fans. It isn't too bad out here. Sunny and 96 with a real feel of 101. The humidity is only 36% so it feels relatively nice right now. In the shade that is.
