I second the idea of Corelle. I don't care if something says it is microwavable, if it gets hot, other than where the food is, it isn't microwave safe in my mind.

Better safe than sorry! But you are right, if the plate is hot where there is no food, don't use it in the microwave.

Unless you show people how they don't break by throwing them on the floor .... like my sister did.

That is FABULOUS!!!!!

As soon as the temp drops below 80°F :D

Nope, the Old Town Blue was introduced in '72 (along with Blue Macrame and Green Macrame. There were 4 original "patterns" in 1970, one is white, so not a pattern; at least not to me.

I have the same set, bought it 44 years ago. None have gone to the Corelle store in the sky ;) They are my microwave dishes. My "daily dishes" are Windsor Ware "Garden Bouquet". They were my grandmothers though I've bought some replacements. They do break :( and I sure as heck wouldn't put them in the microwave. They were made between 1935 and 1950. No microwave ovens back then!!!
Which it does every morning now so it’s a good time to start.

Great looking hiking boots IM, they look very sturdy and comfortable.

Does that mean a whole turkey leg is in your future?
The boots are super comfy, but I only buy shoes from this one company so I expect nothing less.

I don’t know what the food is, never been to the place. I just know I don’t get choices
