I do have jets and my machine works great. That’s why I think it’s my dishwasher. Our set works like the other corelle sets we have had. There are no chips and they do not shatter until the second or third time they are dropped.
You dishwasher might have a lot of pressure in the jets?

I bet we have the original set they made lol.

I second the idea of Corelle. I don't care if something says it is microwavable, if it gets hot, other than where the food is, it isn't microwave safe in my mind.Does anybody know of any good dishes that don’t burn theout of your hands after microwaving and that won’t break the bank?
Better safe than sorry! But you are right, if the plate is hot where there is no food, don't use it in the microwave. But I wouldn’t expect to need them just from microwaving a plate
Unless you show people how they don't break by throwing them on the floor .... like my sister did.Corelle does not heat up and you can drop it a couple of times without them breaking.
That is FABULOUS!!!!!THERAPY WENT SO WELL OMG. Except now I’m a little bit down because it went so deep and some unexpected stuff came up but it’s a good thing it came up and it was a really good session instead of me just saying good good good like usual lmao
As soon as the temp drops below 80°FI got them because I want to get back into hiking.
Nope, the Old Town Blue was introduced in '72 (along with Blue Macrame and Green Macrame. There were 4 original "patterns" in 1970, one is white, so not a pattern; at least not to me.I bet we have the original set they made lol.
I remember that pattern! Are you still using that set?
I used to have the blue pattern when they first came out:

Sadly, they have all gone to the great Corelle store in the sky.
Now that you mention it, I remember the green too, but I don't think we had those. Maybe if I dug in the basement I'd find some though. We're in our early 60's and those gold ones are what mom had when I still lived at home. We have 4 different patterns and I keep telling hubby we really should just get a new set. He said since we never throw any away, then we'll have 5.I second the idea of Corelle. I have the same set, bought it 44 years ago. None have gone to the Corelle store in the skyThey are my microwave dishes. My "daily dishes" are Windsor Ware "Garden Bouquet". They were my grandmothers though I've bought some replacements. They do break
and I sure as heck wouldn't put them in the microwave. They were made between 1935 and 1950. No microwave ovens back then!!!
Hubs just told me we’re going to Medieval Times on Saturday. I’ve never been.
