I hope so.
It's hard to get anyone to do work for you anymore. A couple of years ago I was trying to get a plumber to replace a busted spigot. After calling every plumber in the phone book, I finally got one to come out. He said he had to special order the valve because they don't make that model anymore. He said he'd come back out and repair it as soon as the part came in. He never came back. :rant My neighbor's son ended up fixing it for me.

Oh wow!! That’s ridiculous!!!

Rude! I dunno that I’d be giving that guy my money Debby. I hope he actually shows up!

It's now 2:30pm and no phone call, no fence guy. When we hired him in July he said the fence would be done in 2 weeks. It's now past 2 months and still no fence. :he (That's me banging my head on my non-existent fence).

Thank you, and good morning, Debby

I'm retired from police but picked up a gig transcribing federal immigration hearings. I tell them how much audio I want per day, then download it, type it up, and upload it. It's great as I can do it in my pajamas if I want. 🫣

You?

That sounds like a great work from home job!

I worked for an insurance co. for 33 years, divorced, retired and moved to FL. That's where I met the current DH and we had a tea & spice shop for a few years. After that we had a little farm in the FL countryside. But DH was missing working on golf courses so we ended up in WY where he was the superintendent, I managed the pro shop and was the bbq restaurant cook. Then Covid hit and I retired again (DH kept working). DH got tired of WY winters so we moved back to FL for his job. He didn't like that course, so now we're here in KY where he loves this golf course and I am still retired. Whew, aren't you glad you asked? :gig

This "fence builder" sounds like a reality TV show. Maybe you should be recording it if he actually does show up.

There will be no recordings if this dude actually shows up...anything I say or do may be used against me in a court of law. :bun

We have a guy coming from a window company today. In the spring storms of 2022 we had a couple windows blasted by granite/gravel. Our insurance company said to have someone come out and check them out. They were missed when the inspectors came out. I’m hoping they get replaced as they are very pitted. You wash the windows and they still look dirty…not to mention it snags my squeegee sponge.

DMC, I've certainly thought of your shed building project during this fence fiasco.

Hope you can get your windows fixed quickly!

That is terrible!

You're right about getting anyone to do anything Chrissy. Sorry about your spigot issue, glad the neighbor's son could fix it.

Thanks! If insurance doesn’t pay, they stay. We are going to get more money yet in addition to what has been paid. You had to fix everything and not pocket the money. There was so much damage we didn’t get nearly enough. A lot was out of pocket.
