The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I do get up by 8:30 because the diabetic dog needs her shot and breakfast. It takes my brain a few hours to power up. By 11 am all systems are running on caffeine, so good to go by than. :lol: Before 11 am poke me at your own risk.

I've always hated warm temperatures, but non-stop hot flashes for the past 9 years has made warm weather intolerable to me. With cooler temperatures I'm free to wander the earth in comfort while others are freezing. Bring it. :celebrate
I'm one of those lucky women who very seldom suffer from hot flashes. It's a good thing too because here I am in Texas.

@N F C
Debby have you read this? If you have was it any good?

I will not commute. The closest town that would have decent jobs is an hour away.

I think he meant working remote like from home. That’s what my SIL does.
Correct. Telecommuting. DW's sister teaches in VA but taught from our house during Covid lockdown. Of course that has ended. My DD1's now husband got a fully remote job with General Dynamics not long before Covid hit. He works from wherever he is. Very flexible!

Isn't @igorsMistress job remote?

Maybe it is so hot in TX that you don't know you are having a hot flash.

I’m not currently working. The problem with remote jobs in rural areas is that sometimes there isn’t the internet bandwidth needed. Not all though

Good morning! I miss sleeping late but my body just won't do it any longer. My brain is a night owl and my body is an early riser. Also I think I was meant for a cooler climate. Somebody sure screwed up when the stuck me on this earth.🤣
My kids are here today from FW,TX. They are liking the cool. 80 is cool for them. My shirt was wet when I got back in from gathering eggs this afternoon. One more week and the highs will be in the 60's and 70's. Lows in the 40's and 50's. I can deal with those.

I'm very rural and just recently we got high speed bandwidth that is lightning fast and never slows down. Best we have ever had. Never was this good even in a larger city.
