With only 3-4 days left with highs in the 80's I'm going to risk having leg scars and just wear shorts out to the coops tonight. I know there is risk involved but heavy jeans will be a necessity soon enough.

My wife is a wound care specialist and has a closet full of gauze and tape. Several tubes of triple antibiotic that she keeps for chickens.

Some of everything. I was trying to feed a treat to a fully grown Cornish Cross rooster and nearly lost a finger nail.

I don't worry about the roosters. It is usually the girls that are in love with my legs.
