The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

It's only 50* here today and tonight will be around 25*....brrrrr!

The other day I was digging out my sweatshirts and for some reason all of them are various shades of blue. Oh well, at least they're warm.

Same with my flannel shirts. All a hue of blue. When they go on clearance I'm buying some red ones. Roll Tide Roll. When in Alabama wear Red. :)

Our inside temp is 66° so a hot house is not a problem. My bear genes must be malfunctioning.
It's not the temperature so much, as it is the short days. The chickens go in early. I get my housework done and shower early, so I have time to relax and read. Also I sleep later knowing I don't have to feed the cats and chickens quite so early.

Good morning!
I'm a bear. I can't sleep well the rest of the year but I sleep like I'm in hibernation in cool weather.
Once I'm asleep good luck waking me. It's getting to sleep that is sometimes harder. Not sure why. Probably has something to do with all the aches pains being worse in colder weather.

We had about 50 trick or treaters this year. When we first moved in to this house in 1999, we had closer to 200 each year.

Whoa, 200 is a lot! Being new here, I don't know what's normal, but it was really cold last night, so maybe we would have had more if the weather had been nice.

Maybe we should record all of us singing some bedtime lullabies...that would probably put you right to sleep :gig

I can fall asleep pretty easy, but can't stay asleep.

I understand that. I have a routine. When I get ready for bed, I wrap my right knee because the cold hurts it, I put an elbow brace on my left elbow because the cold hurts it, I put a Tiger Balm patch on my neck because the cold hurts it, I put fuzzy socks on my feet because it's too cold to leave my right foot uncovered, and my bunion hurts if I the covers touch it, then I turn the ceiling fan on, because all that exercise overheats me.

A good night's sleep is a glorious thing so whatever it takes to get one, have at it!

50 is a good number! We had to buy a lot of candy back then.

Woodland has added a lot of City around us. We used to be on the edge of the city and the "new" part. Van loads of kids would come into the neighborhood from Churches and smaller communities around us. I suspect the same thing happens in the current new part of the City.

Contrary to what is being told to the country in news Articles, Most places in California are growing in population. There was a net loss this year but most of them came from San Francisco and LA. Our City has over 60,000 in it and will be over 75,000 in 5 to 10 years.

I read an article last week and the loss in population was less than 200,000 people. Still, a lot of people moved into California last year...some of them must have landed in Woodland lol!
