The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I like the bing create AI. It is text to picture. It gave me 4 images to choose from.
I was reading an article last night about AI pictures and the big camera companies are devising a code of their own to enable photographers to be able to prove a photo came from their camera. If there is a chance to cheat there is a strong possibility that the unscrupulously will.

I'd really like to have one of the newer lighter weight camera & lens combos but at this late date there is no justification for buying one. I can rent a high end camera like I used to own and still have lens for a few times a year.

Just curious, I've never heard of renting a camera. Where do you go to do that? My son is a camera nut and maybe he would be interested in do that sometimes.
(Should have said photography nut)

They are located in Memphis, TN. I've been to there office. Nice people. This photo was taken in TN underneath a land bridge with no flash or direct sunlight from a boat. This is what pro cameras are designed to do. Nikon D850 that I rented for this week of shooting.

Happy New Year

I wanted to drop you a note to let you know I'm still alive. It's been a long hard battle but I think I'm getting better.

I'm still too weak to spend any time in front of the computer. So I live vicariously through Sue as she reads me your posts.

Thank you for all the well wishes! Stay safe and be well.

What kind of photography does he enjoy? There's a type of camera that's better for one thing than another and a few that are good at most everything if you have a friendly banker. My first DSLR was 6mp and was $1500. Then an 8mp model that took 8.3 pictures a second. $4500. Now the camera I really want is still $4500 but it can take 20 pictures a second. When taking photos of erratically moving objects the more images per second you have to choose from the better the odds are of getting a good image out of 20 than out of 5.

I'm putting this one up for Janie, Bob and Sue. Taken in TN from an observation point way above the river. When viewed on a computer screen in Photoshop so you can zoom in you can see the people fishing in the river. Some from the bank and I think there were two from a kayak. I do need to renew my Photoshop subscription. I think my chickens are worth $10 a month to me to be able to zoom in and crop the way I want to.
