We always pan fry and use a cornmeal flour mix for a crispy non oily coating. We also like to use a tough of Everglades Heat in the coating. It's not hot like the name implies. My wife is a bland eater and she loves it.

I used to eat a lot of salmon. It came in a little oil filled capsule. Salmon doesn't taste like fish at all. I've had it once that was great and only once. It was smoked on the coastal waters of Oregon. We have learned that what was there and what sold in stores are just not the same. Wasted to much money on slime.

Don't tell her that they are made with cheap fish scraps. Sort of like old time burger was made from bits and pieces that were not big enough to identify......

I don't have discerning taste.
My favorites are orange roughly (which we hardly ever find now)
Salmon (it took me years to learn how to cook it) catfish, rainbow trout, and canned tuna.

I like canned tuna and barely fish sticks. Sometimes I don’t even like those.

Canned solid albacore. Not the cat food kind.... Rainbow trout when I get to catch them and smoke them ...............
