My husband's A1C was under 5, so I'm making his favorite sandwich for lunch. I call it a Cholesterol Melt. I cook ham slices and bacon, throw in some sliced mushroom and onion. Put it all on thin round bread, that has been spread with cream cheese, sliced black olives, and pepperocini. Fry 3 bantam eggs over easy, and stack it all, then grill it. I don't care for it, but he loves it. That's what V-day is all about, making the partner happy.
