I bet winters in Denver are a bit of a shock for your DD?!
Yeah, the first few for them were quite the learning curve. They are pretty used to it now, but DD2 will still complain about the cold/snow occasionally. Once they bought good winter clothes and snow shovels, it helped. :gig

This is how winter looked where we lived: the snow stayed up on the mountain.

In Southern California - Inland Empire, Redlands. Used to be a big citrus growing area.

The snow on the mountains would come and go during the winter, but we would only get a dusting every 20 years or so.

Of course, summers were awful with months of 100 heat and the smog would blow in from LA and the mountains would disappear.

I don't miss those summers, but the winters were gorgeous.
