The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

You guys that live in the oppressive heat are tough! Holy smokes it is humid out. It still feels like 95. I think this has been the hottest part of the day. There is not a lick of breeze. We are hoping it doesn’t brew up a storm. We got 3/4” of rain this morning.

DMC, I know you posted this last night but you made me look at what our expected weather is supposed to do today...99% humidity with a temp of 93*. I'm staying inside, anyone going out will have to be wrung out like a dishrag!

Hi Debby! Staying inside sounds like a good idea. We are steamy again today too. We have chances of severe storms through tomorrow morning.

Morning DMC, you sure have had a lot of rain this year. Hope the storms aren't too bad.

We have. We had rain all day on the 4th and then yesterday. That’s the longest stretch without rain this spring/summer. Crops and garden are looking so good, except the drowned out stuff. I’m hoping to get squash this year. Last year I didn’t get any. Even watering it, the plants didn’t do well and the squash rotted. This year it is lush and beautiful and the vines are going everywhere. I had to cut it out of my tomato plants. That was hard because there were nice little squash on there.

What kind of squash are you growing?

Just realized the wedding must be coming right up...hope it's not going to be outside with the weather you all have been getting!
