There is an ongoing fight in Texas. Texas passed some laws limiting their power, such as not allowing people to park in their own driveways, but the HOAs are still trying to enforce laws that the state says they cannot.
I understand that they have their purpose, but anymore all you hear is abuse from them. I don't know why anyone would voluntarily buy into an HOA.

The article pointed out HOA's are getting harder to avoid in some areas. That would stink for sure.
