Thank you everyone for the best wishes for hubby’s interview .. this is an integral part of our plan and while his getting the job will mean we are apart for a few months [maybe 5], it will be worth it!

N F C Aaaw, I am so sorry that your Mum’s birthday lunch ended the way it did .. please wish her a Happy Birthday from down under and a speedy recovery.

Hey Scott uuum, yeah, not so much on getting out of the heat, we will be relocating from subtropical to tropical

I know, crazy BUT we will have air conditioning and the ocean is 5mins walk away. Cyclones are an increased threat up there but the town had a population of 1,233 in the 2011 Census and probably still around that number now. It is, however, only 16kms from Ingham with a population of 5,000 odd and Townsville is 110kms south with a population of 190,000 .. so it is going to be own little bit of paradise with ‘hectic’ available if we desire it

I was thinking like a northern silly goose, I do know that in the southern part of our world, the cold areas are more south, not to the north.
Sorry for sounding braindead.

Sounds like you will be in a very nice area.

Good morning Scott!

<plop> So, what's new? I wasn't on much yesterday except to peak in, but I'm so lost now that Wyoming search and rescue couldn't find me. <sigh>

Teila, try rubbing that pesky knee with castor oil. Yep, plain old castor oil. It does wonders for joint pain, increases circulation and I have no idea why it works, but it does. I have had 3 surgeries on my right hip....one to replace it, and 2 attempting to repair the ruptured IT band. Surgeon said last time he fixed it that he could do no more after that...the sutures hold but the tissue around them lets go and frays like blue jeans do so there's nothing for him to anchor more sutures to. Ten days out of the hospital after the last repair and it ripped again. So I'm stuck with it. Tried everything you can imagine, and finally a good friend on here was talking about castor oil. I had some - I had taken her advice and used it on Scout (our little rooster) when he froze his feet - so I grabbed it. Felt a difference in only 3 days! What are ya out by trying? Can't say it worked to the point where I'm totally pain free, but I'm a heck of a lot better off than I was for the years before I tried it!

Debby, sorry about your mom! Wished her belated happy birthday on another thread, but maybe I should edit that to "get well soon."

Hey Blooie, nice to see your smiling face again!

That's interesting about castor oil, never heard that one before. DH is always has his share of aches and pains, I'll have to suggest that to him.

Hey diva Yep, having seen a shark up there circling not far from shore, no beach swimming for me, just walking. Also, crocodiles up there with box jellyfish and Irukandji jelly fish. Quote: With venom 100 times more potent than a cobra and 1000 times more potent than a tarantula, the Irukandji jellyfish is believed to be the most venomous creature in the world. However, the box jellyfish can cause death in a healthy adult in minutes.

All my dipping in the water will be done in the Spa which we will be installing under the high set house

And you will be so close (relatively) to the Great Barrier Reef! I've always wanted to go diving there. Sounds great!

Do you scuba Friday? I tried to learn that once but couldn't take the claustrophobic/I can't breath feeling. Now snorkeling...that's fun! The Great Barrier Reef would be amazing.
