J loved the mermaid story!

sunflour no interview news yet, hopefully this week. He has now decided that "I did not get it" but I am still optimistic. With the weekend and public holidays it is actually only 2 working days since the interview and they did say this week.

Blooie As I do not get to drive the car very often, may be once a week and we are not both very often out of the house, hubby and gadgets in the car do not bother me too much.

My pet gadget-hate is the mobile phone .. I do not want it to take pictures, or send e.mails, or browse the internet, or wake me up, or schedule an appointment etc .. I just want to make and receive phone calls!

I have at least 15 stuffed toys in sight around the house and 3 bags full of them in the cupboard .. gunna have to part with them when we move but Coffee and Cream are definitely coming with us, along with some others

Coffee, Cream and Syba

Teila - your Syba is gorgeous!

It's hot here too in Auckland, NZ. And dry - we are on water tanks where we are and we desperately need some rain to top them up. It's supposed to rain on Friday but I won't hold my breath.

Me and hubby had to help catch two Alaskan Malamutes who were terrorising a neighbours rabbit yesterday, so that was fun. I'm glad they didn't come onto our place as we've had some chickens start turning up and I think someone has dumped them to fend for themselves (there were 4 but I've only seen 3 for a few days now). So they would've been chicken dinner. Plus there's our aviary, and two chicken coops and runs. Our cats are strictly indoor cats so they'd be safe, but our neighbours have had a cat killed by a Malamute so they were rather anxious to get these dogs under control. Thankfully they were wearing collars with a phone number to get in touch with their owners. We need to get a gate for our driveway so this has been a bit more of an incentive to get that done quickly.

Teila, I agree with you on the phone comments. I used to love my simple little flip phone but that had to go about 2 years ago. Syba is so pretty!

J, glad you were able to catch the dogs before they could get to your place. They could have really done some damage. Do you have any pictures of your place or animals? My cousin's son spent a couple of years in NZ and always talks about how beautiful it is there. Be kind of fun to see what it's like around you.

We've had a technician here most the day adding a TV set up and Internet connection. DH will be laid up for at least a couple weeks beginning with his foot surgery on Feb. 7th, gotta keep him entertained some way.

Wouldnt it be weird if Ken has his surgery the same time your hubby as his? We could compare whines....er....notes! Maybe you and i could leave the two of them together and run off to see Australia and New Zealand!

Syba thanks you for your kind comments and advises that “I am aware!” lol

J I too am pleased you were able to round up the Malamutes.

N F C best wishes for hubby’s surgery. Ditto for Ken also Blooie!
