G’morning DMC. Are you off this week?

Hi IM! No. I wanted to take 1/2 a day off tomorrow but there will be too many gone. I have Thursday and Friday off.

Morning DMC, you're probably at school by now. Hope you have a good day at work and an even better long weekend coming up!

Hope the project your boys are working on goes well. I almost feel sorry for the 2 guys working here today...it's only 35* out. Maybe that will make them work faster to get out of the cold.

Did they get finished?
We had a high of 24 I think. It was cold today.

A couple days ago I was at a dollar store and picked these up...an almost cat-proof village (they're plastic).

The tiny batteries cost as much as the plastic buildings, but I'm enjoying them.

That all sounds delicious!

We'll have a whole turkey too, I got one of those "bake from frozen" ones so we will have plenty of leftovers. Also making mac & cheese, sausage & sage dressing, fresh green beans, and cranberry relish (that's all I have made so far). For desert I'm going to try a new recipe for no-bake pumpkin cheesecake with a ginger snap cookie crust.

That's the plan anyway

Thanks and good morning, IM! (Although it's probably almost afternoon there, I'd imagine!) I'm on Pacific Time, so still early-ish here.


It is. I hope I didn't forget anyone. We are planning on getting some Port-A-Huts today (animal shelters) but the place is about 2-1/2 hours away. I should go, but haven't decided if I'm going to yet...

There's a few small chores that I'm wanting to do today. I have a quail with a broken leg, and it's been splinted for awhile and doing well, but it's one of those things I've been trying to keep good tabs on.

I’m actually in AZ. No time change for us so in winter we’re an hour ahead and summer we’re the same time.

Sorry, the first photo is kind of weird, I tried taking a panoramic shot to fit everybody.

Right now the boys have a cattle panel, tarp covered thing, so it's an upgrade. It will be nice for them when we put them in their breeding groups to have a better shelter. We'll be lambing late this year, but I never plan on being home until April 1st, so hopefully it will be good timing next year.

The pipe work will be finished today. The guy operating the bob cat has to finish filling in the trench.
