I’m going to the clubhouse again today. They’re just doing an in house thing again today like they have the past couple weekends, no outing this time, but it’s an art workshop thing I think that one of the members is helping put on with one of the staff so it should be fun hopefully. Some of us went to Michael’s with a staff this past week and bought some supplies for it and then they also ordered these postcard things on Amazon that happened to be on sale and I THINK the idea of today’s workshop is to pick a postcard and try to paint it. They are all like nature type scenes and we bought watercolor paints. The postcards are by Homer somebody, I forget his last name but he’s a famous artist I think from Boston? So yeah. We were going to get some Picasso ones too in case anybody wanted to do abstract stuff but we just got the Homer ones I believe. It was like $8 for a TON of them LOL they were on sale.

Whoops. Apparently Homer IS the last name lmao :oops: I think his name is Winslow Homer?

That sounds like a nice way to spend a Saturday! It's always fun to get things in the mail or hand painted/made cards. What a neat idea, especially for this time of year.

Yeah, I think it will be fun. I suck at painting and art in general, especially watercolor, but I can have fun trying LOL

Yeah, I am not great, either. I can get away with some digital art, though.

I tell people that I gave all of my artistic ability to my sister (in the womb) because we're twins and she's really artistic.

Did you ever have to make those plates that you drew on and then they heated up or something to make the artwork set? We did in like kindergarten and she had all of these amazing holiday scenes and mine were just scribbles, lol. I told them it was "abstract." 😅 So funny seeing them side-by-side, though.
