Sleeping is one of my favorite activities. I hate going there but once I get there I never want to leave, sweet, sweet, sleep.
 


Found this and it made me laugh - thought I'd share.

I'm glad the Beast is feeling much better. We have a cat who is deaf and half blind. I adore her but she grew up without litter mates so she is very rough. Bite hard and don't ask questions is her philosophy. I would not like to have to take her anywhere near the vet - the vet would get shredded!!!

It's a stinking hot day here. The kids have already eaten at least 3 iceblocks each! We don't have much shade in our backyard so they are indoors where it's slightly cooler at the moment. Hopefully we can take them for a swim later at a friend's place. It's Waitangi Day here so the beaches will be packed. Hubby's at work but he'll finish early seeing as it's a public holiday. My poor chickens are just too hot. Summer is not my favourite season.

Had to look up Waitangi Day, ever heard of it before. Hope you had an enjoyable holiday J!
 
Sooo, I have what I think is some good news but trying very hard not to get excited!

I confess to thinking on Friday that hubby had not got the job because they advised that interviewees would be notified some time that week. BUT he just got a phone call from them [Monday here] that they have made an appointment for him to have a pre-employment health check and to sign an authority for a criminal record check. While they did not say he had the job, I am pretty sure they will not be doing that with all interviewees and probably only the one or one's truly in the running .. that glimmer of hope has turned into a chandelier! Sadly, health check is not booked until Friday so we have some waiting to do
