The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Good Morning,

Debby, hope your DH recovers quickly. I'm working a lot of hours lately, but still peeking in to see what y'all are up to :)

Nice to see you here!

Good morning Debby...good to hear!

Hi DMC, how's your weather? Yesterday we had sunny skies, than snow, then rain and wind, a lot of wind.

Cold this morning!! We had 0* but no wind yet. It's supposed to be mid 40's by Friday. I know it won't last but there's hope spring is coming. My girls are starting to give me a nice supply of eggs again, yay!

Happy to hear that he's done with it, Debby...even though that means the hard part is here now. Ken usually has the same answer after he's had anything done. I'll ask him, "Did you take your happy cappy?" and his reply is always, "I'm thinking seriously about it...." Yeah, that'll help. <sigh>

I'm sure our on-site medical pro's will correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding of pain management is that it really is a case of "a little goes a long way." If you treat the pain before it becomes unbearable, it takes a lot less pain reliever to bring relief. So if you take the pill when the pain is little more than discomfort, then in the long run, you wind up taking less . . . in theory, anyway. And for me, that's a good thing, since even extra-strength OTC pain relievers can make me feel spacey and light-headed (yeah, I know, easy when you got nothin' in there in the first place . . .)

I'm quite the same way Bunnylady. I loathe pain meds and get nauseated from them but after getting caught with none on board after a surgery, I know not to mess with it in the first day or so. I was lucky after childbirth and a hysterectomy to be able to go straight to ibuprofen but I had a breast reduction that became pure torture.
