The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

sunflour we had quite a few pet transport companies to choose from. Had you just not heard of them yourself or is it something that there is not a market for in GA?

I hope I never need this, but there have been quite a number of past thread on BYC asking how to move their flocks.

Interesting, no one on the ones I viewed ever suggested a transport company. Although, I know someone involved with cat/dog rescue that personally transports or places the adoptive animalsl on planes:)

Hubby got the job!

Congratulations Teila (and hubby). I do hope everything goes smoothly for you. Deep breaths!

I spent most of the day in our aviary as 3 of our finch babies decided to fledge today. I must've checked on them about 50 times today. The youngest was staying put in the nestbox but it won't be long until it is flying too. I suspect the parents want to breed again as I have seen them taking new bits of straw up to the nest. They've been encouraging the babies to take the leap. The other pair helped to feed the 3 that took flight so everyone was very busy. I just had to help one back into the nest this evening. Despite the parents making worried sounds when we touch them the babies still seem quite happy to be picked up and patted and kissed. They are so adorable.

Kids today...they grow up so fast!

I would have been sitting there watching them all day too J.

And the parents are already thinking of more? You'd think they would want to enjoy the "empty nest" a bit first, lol.
