I need to get it in gear to run to the Post Office today...might have to swing by the coffee shop for a caffeine treat (if they aren't totally swamped). I have coupons that are burning a hole in my pocket just begging to be used

20+ years ago the Princess ordered bare root roses through QVC. They arrived while I was away judging a field trial. When I got home she had planted them - upside down. I replanted them properly and all survived at least for a bit. One still remains and is blooming right now.

I bet you've had a lot of fun with that rose story over the years

One time my dad's neighbor asked him to help grow tomatoes. Things were going well until the neighbor showed up at dad's door with the entire plant. Neighbor had dug it up looking for the tomatoes (he thought they grew off the root).

Good morning, Jen. Monday, or as we call it here, trash pickup day, has rolled around again. I hope your solo shearing goes well this week.

Thanks! I pretty much just woke up so, yeah, that is pretty nice. At least the sheep, goats and chickens can fend for themselves if I sleep in.

I think it's a 4-H Shooting Sports thing going on this week (no shearing) so I'm just on dog-duty and farm watch. I'm almost finished putting together a new coop for the Seramas, so they will be happy.

I hope you get to use your coupons today! I've definitely been planning my stops around those little newish coffee machines at gas stations that will make you a personal cup of coffee and you can choose iced as well. We don't have a lot of them around here yet but they are so good. Have a great day, Debby!

DH and I like running into those gas stations when we have to travel, they do give a good cup of coffee.

I did get to use my coupon today! I had to make 2 trips to the post office and rewarded myself with a blended white chocolate mocha. I'm pretty sure it counts more as a dessert than a coffee, but it really hit the spot in this heat.

And now it's starting to rain again.

Yeah, I'll get a picture! They think they're cute, too. (No they are, lol, they are just funny.) These are the same ones we had in our house for awhile. I know they aren't purebred Seramas because they've been in way colder weather than Seramas are supposed to handle and they have muffs, (I'll take it!)
