Well I don't want to cloud up this thread, but I feel like a total dunce. I woke up to one less chick yesterday (I kind of expected it just after watching him--seemed to have a bit of FTT... )

Then, and since I made a 1d10t decision the evening before, and I didn't go check on them that morning, I lost a really nice lamb yesterday, too.

(So anyways, don't be an 1d10t and not hook up your energizer to the fence.) Sorry for the bad news, but just feeling.

Watching lot of hummingbirds at the feeder today, though, so today is looking better.

I am sorry that you lost them!

Somewhat of a break in the weather, and I managed to mow half of the lawn today.

I cleaned the nest boxes this morning before it got too hot. It will be 95F today.

So sorry Jen, things happen sometimes. I'd bet we've all lost animals of some sort along the way.

Watching hummingbirds has to be therapeutic so enjoy.

Hi Janie. I miss her too. Has she contacted anybody? I was wondering where she has been.

I haven't heard from her in a while. Last I did she wasn't feeling well but said it was nothing serious.

What a stunning and colorful rooster! I'm guessing he's a backyard mix with some dorking in him (short legs) some leghorn (impressive comb) and just a smidgen of peacock.

He's a Scot's Dumpy! I have always wanted some and figured this was my best chance of having one. Figured I'd add some extra color to him while I was at it (make him even more attractive to the ladies).
