The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

That’s awesome! Of course you’re a keeper.😊
That's great the job went so well! The daughter knows a keeper when she sees one ❤️
Aw, you guys are sweet. I mean 2 weeks is a pretty low standard, but I'll take it! :p Hopefully it mostly shows how appreciative people make things so much better! I mean, one comment can really make someone's job or day.

Hi Janie, you are spot on with Taco Tuesday! I have plans of making taco meat for our dinner...DH can use it however he wants (tacos, burritos, nachos, etc).

I almost jumped for joy yesterday, the grocery store was carrying my favorite brand of pre-made tamales. They aren't as good as homemade by someone's granny, but for around here they are pretty good. That's what I'll have for a tamale Tuesday:

I am not a tamale lover but Jim can eat his weight in them. We have several places around here that make authentic tamales so I've never made my own.

My dad always told me to compliment at least one person a day and it would make my own day better. He was right.

We are lucky and my step dad is a good cook and has a family recipe for tamales (even dessert ones) that probably spoiled me. (Made me a picky tamale eater, anyways, lol). He's part Mexican and most of his family is in Texas (San Antonio & Austin.) I don't really see my step-dad's side of the family since my mom and him got divorced, though (still see my step-dad a lot).

I hope the tamales tasted good, Debby!

ETA: I'm not a good reader, I hope the tacos tasted good and the tamales taste good on Tamale Tuesday!
