Thanks, Janie! It's pretty nice in the back woods where we're running the sheep right now, so it shouldn't be too bad. We're not too far off having to throw hay soon, though.

No. Sadly, they live in Colorado. I may not see her until December. I can't fly off and leave Jim nowadays as he doesn't walk or drive any longer.
Maris was fine today, but I brought a little bantam hen inside from 4:30 until 7:30 when it cooled off. I dropped 10lbs of ice in the shade so they could scratch and cool off.

Yuck to that 102*. We have 5 days of mid 70’s. It’s beautiful today, but it’s smoky, so I can’t open my windows.

I would love to have some 70s but not that smoke.

Mom & baby are home and taking lots of naps.
The hens had some electrolytes in wet feed this morning and they all made it through another awful day. Tomorrow will only be 99 thank goodness.

Good morning Debby. I can’t believe it’s August. I got an email yesterday for some school training and they added another day that we have to work before school officially starts. Not ready for that! We work the 18th and 19th and officially start the 25th.
