I would absolutely freak out!!

They sound like something out of a horror movie

We get some annoying cicadas every year. Then we get the 13 year ones that are more irritating. But the 17 year cicadas are the absolute pits.

Sometimes I'd find two of them doing things we don't mention here. So I could stomp on them - two for one. Not that it made any difference.

What a way to go.

We are spared the periodic cicadas, but still have the annual species. For some reason, they seen attracted to the whine of a gas powered backpack-style leaf blower. Anyone who has spent enough time using one during the summer will probably find themselves under attack from a large, amorous insect at some point; I have seen grown men totally freak out at such times.

I remember seeing one guy with 3 of the things swarming around him; he dumped the blower and took off running . . . . had to send someone else to fetch the machine, we couldn't persuade him to get anywhere near it.

Poor guy! I hate bugs!! Wood ticks and grub worms are the worst for me.

No news from here really. Junk, uuum, sorry, stuff! is still disappearing in bits n’ pieces from under the carport whenever someone pops over. The timber for the coop and run arrived in Forrest Beach yesterday afternoon so, no doubt, construction will commence today. Son has an inspection booked this afternoon at an apartment in a building he has been looking at for a while now, so fingers crossed that he likes it.

Oh, and I am exhausted but that is not news
