Good morning y'all!
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I have to get busy. I need to get the house ready for our Sunday company.
We took a trip to Collin Street Bakery yesterday. We bought 2 dozen cookies and a couple of cheesecake. They only had two flavors, a white chocolate cheesecake, which we haven't tried, and we also got the key lime, which is wonderful.
I'm going to make a pot of charo beans, regular cornbread and jalapeño cornbread muffins, and a pan of baked macaroni and cheese. The kids are bringing bq meats, coleslaw, green salad and potato salad, chocolate chip cookies and banana pudding. It sounds like an overabundance of food but I'm sure everyone will do their part to polish it off.

Oh, banana pudding, I haven't had that in a while.
I used to live in Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia. Nothing jalapeño, but the other foods you mention remind me of the southern cooking. 😋
 
Good morning. It's been raining off and on thus past week. So grateful. A bit of snow at times on the top of our mountains. We need a lot up there this year. This is from my back porch.
