Today is my first "official" day back to work at the golf course. And I don't want to go. I've really enjoyed this past winter and having time to do what I want, when I want. This is going to be an adjustment. And the older I get, the less I want to make adjustments like that...I feel like a whiney 5 year old having to go back to school, lol.

I'm going to miss chatting with you all today.

I was thinking about how hectic this time of year is going to be for you and Mr. Frankenfoot Bellyowie and how ill-timed my visit might be....if you just have too much to do right now to feel comfortable with me coming down, just let me know. Obviously Mr. Owie Don'ttouchme cant' drive, so I'll still be playing driver, but I don't want to put you in a bad spot if there are things you need to get done that day.

My "roadblocks" just got better. See below...


Okay, I just came home from the course. DH and I had a long talk...my job down there has just been changed and I'm so relieved.

Instead of all the day-to-day managing the club house, I'm going to be working part time. I'll still be the purchaser, I'm going to do baking for the restaurant and I'll fill in when someone calls in sick or quits.

DH told me to concentrate on getting my chickens and getting a coop/run set up (which is what I really want to do). I can run down there whenever I want to spend time with him, still go to the Advisory Board meetings so I stay in the loop. Still get say-so on a lot of club house stuff, etc. In other words, I can be involved as much or as little as I want!

My day just got a WHOLE lot better!

Then I'll see you on Saturday! Can't give you a precise time yet. We're going to spend the night in Riverton and then drive down the next morning. Ken's interview is at 10:30 but he wants to be there at 10:00. So it'll be right around that time frame. Got your PM with your phone number and have it programmed into my phone. I will send you mine in a few minutes.

I'm so excited for you! Sounds like you will be busy but not overloaded and that's always good. Um, I think it's always good......I haven't experienced that yet. <sigh> But my day is coming, I know it! So did you talk to the hot-shots and they said you could have chickens?? Really? Are you going to mosey up to Bob's and snag some of those he's always hatching out?

I'm hoping this won't be a mistake with the chickens but it's always easier to ask forgiveness than permission, right? There's only 1 person I really need to run the chicken thing by and I haven't been able to get a hold of him. So....(can't believe I'm doing this)....I'm going for it anyway. I NEED chickens dagnabit!

DH isn't going to have much time to help with a coop so I'm going to start looking at pre-built sheds, etc. then all he'll have to do is help me set it up. We'll tuck it back by the side of the garage, not "hiding" them but so no one can object to having to look at them. I'm also going to talk to Bob about some of his chicks. I only want 4 or 5. Well, that's not true, I want dozens but will be very happy with just 4 or 5, lol.
