The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

Is it a good thing or a bad thing that I had a dream while napping today about ducks and chickens? Do you guys ever dream about your poultry?

Please tell me it's not just me.

I googled dream interpretation and ducks, there actually is all kinds of different meanings, I was gonna make a joke but I can't now, it could mean gloom and doom for you, or that you like children, or your feeling unfulfilled.

Couldn't overcome the urge to do that search..

Looks like it can mean whatever you want it to mean. Personally I don't really place much faith in dream interpretation - but in case those are correct - hope they weren't white or dead ducks..

IMO it just means you are eggcited about the new upcoming adventure.

And it is a foremost thought in your subconcious.

My dreams are quite strange - and usually include my deceased family members on vacations to exotic locations..

Now the real question is do you dream in technicolor?

Good morning!

@sunflour don't worry about what Freud would say...he was probably as nutty as anyone! Interesting though, you only remember dreaming in color once and it was about brown shoes. I don't remember dreaming in anything but color.

I've been kind of 'hit or miss' here the past day or so...back issues again. Guess that's what happens when I try to play gardener and get too enthusiastic with a shovel. I am ready to play in the dirt and get my hands dirty again though. Last year's garden seems a long ways back.

We're going to a near-by Shitake mushroom festival in a bit. DH & I have talked about trying to grow mushrooms for quite a while now so this should be interesting.

You all have a great day and I'll check in later.

43 years ago today my life changed forever! After having two sweet little girls, I had a son! Boy, there were a lot more differences than just indoor vs outdoor plumbing! Suddenly I had frogs in my toilet bowl. I had multiple trips to the Emergency room....who knew bikes couldn't really fly? I had sinks overflowing because he forgot to turn off the water. I had dirty hands and a dirty face to wash because he suddenly couldn't remember how to turn that water back on. And I had to play "dad" when his was gone all of the time. I learned to coach T-ball. I figured out how to give that boy what-for while choking back the laughter that threatened to burst out at the worst moments! As he got older the scrapes got a little more serious. But we got through it all. I stood by his side when he brought our sweet Jenny into the family, and I cried happy tears when he introduced us to baby Katie. I kept his place warm for him when he couldn't be with Jenny and see his new baby Kendra come into the world. I've been furious with him, proud of him, and laughed with him all these years. Happy birthday, Kenny! You keep things interesting!!
