How's your day (or is it night there?) going?
Hi to you too - it's Saturday morning here, sunny but chilly.

I must go and get some easter eggs for our two kids tomorrow. I'm very disorganised at the moment! I can't believe easter is almost here! Our button quail should hatch either easter Saturday or Sunday so that will be awesome. I forgot to write down when the finches started sitting so I'm not sure when they are due. I always think I'll remember, but I don't.

Our DD had to get braces on her top 4 front teeth on Thursday so she's a bit sore at the moment. She had a cross bite and she's had dental plates (top and bottom) to sort that out, and this is the next stage. At least it's not a whole set, poor thing. She copes extremely well (as kids do).

Anyway, I'd better go do some jobs. Our outdoor quail need a complete clean out after all that rain. So that's first on my list.

Can't wait to see those cute little chicks of yours! And Dawn's too! Good luck Dawn!

Good morning folks

Saw this one this morning and immediately thought of someone, you know who you are

I confess to getting very confused when talking about days in here. I have to look back at how many hours ago you posted and then try and work out what day it was and whether it was morning, afternoon or evening and if it has happened yet

J good news on the power not being out too long.

sunflour Sorry to hear that you have been under the weather for a while now. I managed to kick my sore throat and headache in a couple of days. It sounds like you could use a holiday.

Blooie love the pics! Sorry to hear about the losses but I do remember that you mentioned on pick up that a couple were iffy. Thank you for the chuckle “I just realised that I’m taller laying down that I am standing up!!

It is all happening in here .. lots of babies, meets, new homes .. very exciting and a highlight of my day.

I am still in a holding pattern re the move .. being the weekend, hubby is heading out to make progress on the coop and with the 4 day Easter break coming up and lots of time to work on the coop, hopefully getting close to the pets relocating then it all starts happening at a rapid pace and headlong into the light at the end of the tunnel.

Um, Teila, would that be me? I happen to be enjoying one right now in Riverton. Celebrating the end of Ashley's chemo via FaceTime with the family back in South Dakota, wearing my Team Ashley t-shirt for the last time! We're all wearing them!! See?

Teila, isn't that just like the little ones to scare you that way? Silly chickens, I hope you gave them a good talking to.

Friday is C-Day!! DH is just kind of like, ok we've done this before, it will be nice to have chicks again. I'm like :ya

I think I can safely say for both Blooie & I that we wish all of you could be here! That would be so much fun!

Glad you're feeling a bit better, take care of yourself!

I don't think Wyoming would ever be the same but what fun that would be!! I hope you two have a fabulous day

:frow   Hi and Good Morning...trying to catch up, sorry if I missed anyone's news.  I had been "under the weather" for NINE days now - One round of antibiotics and still sick :hit .  Guess my immune system is down a bit - working 12 hour shifts sick and even a day off here and there to recuperate has not helped.  Temp was 101.7 yesterday - so started another strong round of antibiotics last nite, took a really strong knock out cough med last night and feel some better this am - although dull in thoughts - maybe will perk up when that cough med wears off.  I have 2 days to try to get well before the shifts begin again:(  I did get some blood work yesterday and everything was fine - my glucose value was only 109 after eating 2 fresh, warm Krispy Kreme donuts, so ate a third one :lau

Blooie - I love what Tam has done with her new home, and in such a short time.  The video is so impressive - you have a steady hand ( my walk thru videos make one seasick).  Congrats on the baby chicks - hope the weak ones perk up and survive.

Debby - I thought your babies would arrive today, but only one more day !!  Hope they are healthy.   Will you be brooding inside your home?   I found out the reason I couldn't get mine on time, the owner of the local store told DH almost all in a shipment of 75 chicks arrived dead :hit .  I think she told the young store workers the shipment was shorted to avoid their tears.  She is getting a replacement end of April - praying those don't get any delays during their shipment, so I can join in the baby chick adventure..:fl .   I didn't need electrolytes with my first ones, but maybe I should be prepared and stock up.   What do you use?  Is there a brand name I can find and get?

JaeG - those babies are so, so cute.   I love those big beaks - they have character.  Glad the power interruption was short - boy that would have been a nightmare if the workers had run into trouble.

Hope you feel better soon Sunflour!
