The NFC B-Day Chat Thread

I wore one shoe of two different pairs
I went out to the shops today wearing 2 shoes of completely different colours. One bright pink and one navy blue :D I blame the chooks. I have all these plastic clogs and I just slipped some on not noticing they were different. Never mind. I'll just pretend I'm a trendsetter who did it on purpose.

Good Morning.

Getting my morning laughs...
I have too many turkeys, I've never caught them or the chickens smoking. :frow

:lau

Chip, never mind it is not worth stewing about. Just cultural difference. I wore one shoe of two different pairs the other day and would not have noticed had husband not pointed it out, lol. Half asleep.

I wore different shoes to work ( both black) no one noticed, not even me until late in the day when I noticed it and had to show folks my "new shoes" and even then they didn't notice :hmm

Yah, men are so alert ;). They never tell you when you have toilet paper stuck to the bottom of your shoe. That's okay, I will never tell them if their 'window' is open. HA!!

A co-worker walked all around the office for hours before someone told her she had a toilet paper train. I missed the action, but she laughed the rest of the day.

And why are you looking there ? Good morning, Chatters.

:clap

Thank you all for the belly laughs, I really needed this.

I'd love to see a photo of your alpacas Bruce!
Two years of fluff, poor Teddy had a horrible knot of burdock in his head fleece that drooped over his eye:

Teddy half done, had problems with the electric shears so only the "blanket - around the middle between front and rear legs. It took THREE hours to get this:

Finished Teddy with household scissors", Laddie not done yet:

Both "scissored". I didn't try to do their legs, they (especially Laddie!) weren't real cooperative with what was done and I didn't feel like getting kicked:

My Wellie was hatched early April, when was yours? I was a bit surprised to find her egg as early as it was...I thought she'd be at least 6 months old (or older) before laying.

Mine were born april 25th
Betty and Veronica were hatched 4/24. No eggs yet but they are both red in the face, wattle and combs so I'm hopeful I'll soon find brown pullet eggs. Already getting white ones from Oreo and Mint, the Exchequer Leghorns. 2 from Mint, still Peewee, 4 from Oreo, she's made it to Small.

I've never had smoked turkey - turkey is very expensive here and only really available at Christmas. I love smoked fish though. Yummy!
Clearly you need to raise turkeys! Probably a ready market down there in NZ since you said they are expensive and hard to come by other than at Christmas.
